Rilakkuma was appointed as a special ambassador for the “Santa Parade Tokyo/Osaka” again this year!

Rilakkuma was appointed as a special ambassador for the charity event “Santa Parade Tokyo/Osaka,” where Christmas presents are given to children struggling with illness!

Rilakkuma served as an ambassador in 2022, 2023, and 2025, and Korilakkuma, who celebrated its 20th anniversary, became an ambassador in 2024. They appeared in Santa costumes and enlivened the venue.

Rilakkuma is scheduled to appear at the Tokyo venue on 11/15 (Sun) and the Osaka venue on 12/6 (Sun) this year, which marks the 5th time in office!

The “Santa Parade” started in Osaka in 2009 and Tokyo in 2018. As the world's largest Santa Walk event, a total of about 80,000 people have participated so far, and gifts and smiles have been given to approximately 25,000 children struggling with illness. Approximately 6,700 people participated in the 2025 fiscal year, and along with handwritten messages, Christmas gifts were given to approximately 3,000 children in the hospital. Furthermore, support was provided to Filipino children in need of medical care through Free the Children Japan.
