《What is the Japan Hobby Show?》 The Japan Hobby Show is an event hosted by the Japan Hobby Association that conveys the appeal of “manufacturing” such as handicrafts, crafts, and DIY. It was first held in 1976, and the 50th one will be held in 2026. The feature is that visitors can not only look at the exhibition of works, but also experience the joy of creation through participation in workshops and experiences.

50th anniversary theme The 50th theme is “Create, Continue, and Connect.” This is a phrase containing a love for handmade products and the desire to spin the 50-year trajectory of making into the next future. While valuing the fun and possibilities of making, and the history of the Japan Hobby Show, which continued for half a century, it contains a wish to continue expanding the circle of hobbies and handmade goods, and to be a place that connects people, ideas, passion, and technology.
